The Basic Cardiac Life Support + Automated External Defibrillator (BCLS+AED) Refresher Course is designed for current providers in the skills and knowledge of basic cardiac life support, including the use of the automated external defibrillator, according to Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council guidelines. Learners will be updated on the latest guidelines in the practice of basic life support in Singapore.
a) Update learners with the most current guidelines for Basic Cardiac Life Support and use of Automated External Defibrillator in Singapore.
b) Perform high quality Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on adult and infant cardiac arrest victims.
c) Use the Automated External Defibrillator effectively and safely on cardiac arrest victims.
d) Remove Foreign Body Airway Obstruction from conscious and unconscious adult and infant choking victims.
Our BCLS+AED Refresher Course builds on the existing skills and knowledge of our learners by focusing on their application in relevant and likely scenarios. Other than an interactive lecture to update and refresh learners of the guidelines for BCLS and AED in Singapore, the bulk of our refresher course consists of role-plays, drills and scenario-based exercises. Our trainer to trainee ratio is highly favourable for effective learning to take place, ensuring maximum hands-on practice time for every participant.

Participants must meet minimum of 75% attendance in order to qualify for the assessments.
Upon successful completion of the course and its assessments, learners will be issued with a certificate endorsed by Lentor Ambulance Pte Ltd.
This course will be conducted at Lentor Training Centre, the training arm of Lentor Ambulance Pte Ltd.
